Introduction

"His First Flight" is an inspiring story about a young seagull who is afraid to fly. Although his brothers and sister learn to fly successfully, he lacks confidence and believes his wings will not support him. Finally, hunger forces him to take the risk, and he discovers that he can fly naturally.

The story teaches that fear is natural, but it can be overcome through courage, confidence, and determination.

Detailed Summary

The young seagull is afraid to make his first flight. Although his wings are fully developed, he believes they are too weak to carry him.

His parents try many ways to encourage him. They call him, threaten him, and even scold him. His brothers and sister fly confidently.

Because he refuses to fly, the family leaves him alone on the cliff.

He becomes very hungry.

The next morning, he sees his mother eating a fish. She flies toward him carrying food.

When he tries to reach the fish, she suddenly stops in the air.

Unable to bear his hunger, the young seagull jumps forward.

For a moment, he falls downward in fear.

Soon, his wings spread automatically.

The wind lifts him.

He realizes that he is flying.

His fear disappears.

His family flies happily around him, praising him.

Later, they all land on the sea, where he enjoys his first meal after successfully making his first flight.
